What Should I Expect?
Everyone is welcome
at RockPoint Youth
Want to connect with other young people, have a ton of fun with your friends, and get to know more about the God of the universe who loves you? Show up, we want you here!
Am I welcome even if I don’t call myself a Christian?
Absolutely. Everyone is welcome at RockPoint Youth. While we unapologetically preach Jesus as He’s revealed in the Bible, we’re also relentlessly inclusive of anyone who comes. Everyone needs an encounter with Jesus, no exceptions.
What are you all about?
At RockPoint Youth, we’re all about Jesus. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the heart’s deepest questions.
We exist to create a space for every young person to encounter Jesus, know Him more deeply, and experience the beauty of a joy-filled community of Jesus followers.
What should I expect in a normal youth group night?
Show up around 6:30pm on Wednesdays and expect to play fun games like gaga ball, six-square, Wii or ping pong for about 30 minutes.
After that, we kick off around 7pm with an ice breaker, then about 10 minutes of worship, a practical and relevant 20 minute message, and then we close in 5-10 minutes of prayer and worship (or small groups, once a month), then more games and snacks. We wrap up around 8:30pm.
Can I invite my friends?
You bet, we encourage it!
No cliques, no judgment – we want every young person in Yamhill County to hear about the life and love of Jesus and experience that at RockPoint Youth.
This Summer!
PRIME Student Internship
This summer we are offering an internship called PRIME for any high school student. The purpose of this internship is to help students grow in their faith, to put a right foundation in their life and to set them up for success in their faith post high school.
The classes are taught by Portland Bible College (PBC) professors and Mannahouse Youth pastors, and cover three areas:
- Worldviews – what the Bible says about you.
- Right Doctrine and Beliefs – exposed to what the Bible says is true.
- Character Development – challenged to grow to be more like Jesus.
Students will get PBC level lecturers, Lunch & Dinner, Ministry & serving opportunities, and Youth Camp.
PRIME will run once a week on Wednesdays for 8 weeks, starting June 12 and end with Youth Camp on June 29 to August 1.
Cost for PRIME, which includes Youth Camp, is $300.
